CHARACTERISTICS
Composed of two linked masonry gable roof structures, this large family residence is a contemporary response to traditional homes within the site's local rural setting, just minutes walk from Ngahinapouri Golf course.
The main pavilion includes open plan kitchen, dining and living offering views westward toward Mount Pirongia whilst enjoying a north facing aspect with access to both a covered outdoor area and central courtyard space connecting the two pavilions.
At the southern end of this structure sits a separate lounge for a removed yet accessible retreat from the living spaces. Tucked away from the main living areas the eastern wing of the home contains triple garaging, a study, bathrooms, kids’ bedrooms and master suite capturing the properties northern expansive green space.
A moody palette of dark masonry and black longrun colorsteel roofing is softened by vertical accents while a contrasting light, neutral interior palette gives flexibility to this rural oasis.
